This spectacular “blue marble” image is the most detailed true-color image of the entire Earth to date. This image was created by utilizing a collection of satellite-based observations which were then placed into a true-color mosaic of the Earth as seen from space. The view is of North America and other parts of the western hemisphere. Shows clouds, water, polar ice and land masses. Very colorful.
